What a London trade website needs
The basics are the same everywhere. These are the things London customers ask about that customers elsewhere rarely do.
Your boroughs and postcode districts
Londoners search by place: "electrician Walthamstow", "plumber N16", "roofer Bromley". Your site lists the boroughs, neighbourhoods and postcode districts you really cover, in plain text that people and Google can read, and says plainly where you stop.
Parking, ULEZ and the Congestion Charge
Since August 2023 the ULEZ covers every London borough, and central jobs can add the Congestion Charge and paid parking. Customers want to know up front whether that is in your price. Your site says how you handle it, so there is no argument on the day.
Flats, freeholders and managing agents
A lot of London work is in flats, where the freeholder or managing agent may need to agree to the job first. If you work with managing agents, or know the questions to ask, your site says so. Roofers and builders in particular win work this way.
Landlords and letting agents
London has a large private rented sector. Landlords need a gas safety check every year and an electrical report (EICR) at least every five years. A page for landlords and agents, with a form that takes several addresses at once, brings repeat work.
Period homes and conservation areas
Victorian terraces, Edwardian semis, conservation areas with rules on roofs and windows. If you are good with older buildings, your site shows the jobs that prove it, because that is what owners of those homes search for.
Photo enquiries from a phone
People send a photo of the leak, the fuse board or the roof with their postcode. You see on your phone whether the job suits you, and whether it is inside your area, before you call back.

Questions from London firms
Can we meet in person?
Yes. We are based in Enfield, north London, so we can meet you in person in London to talk through the draft. Video call and email work just as well if you prefer. Arrange it by email.
Is the price higher for London?
No. It is the same everywhere in the UK: £379 setup and £59 a month, 6-month minimum. After that the site is yours.
Can my site rank for every London borough?
It can show every borough you really cover, and a page for the areas where you want most of your work. We don't make dozens of near-identical pages, one per town. Google treats those as spam, and they can pull the whole site down.
I work in London and Hertfordshire or Essex too.
That is common, and fine. Your site lists the areas across the boundary as well. Your Google Business Profile can cover up to 20 service areas, and we set them to match the site.
Do you only work with trades?
No. We build for trades such as plumbing and heating, electrical, roofing and joinery, and for local businesses such as hair salons, barbers, cafés and garages. For anything else, ask, and we will tell you honestly whether we are a good fit.
