How we write these guides
Each guide answers a question plumbers, electricians and roofers ask us when they first think about a website or their Google listing. We check every rule against the source that sets it: Google's own help pages for Google, and UK legislation or the regulator's guidance for the law. Each guide shows the date it was last checked, and we update it when a rule changes.
The guides are free and stand on their own. You don't need to be a client, and nothing here needs a sign-up. If something is unclear or out of date, email us and we will fix it.
